AIIA offers many classroom continuing education courses; however, since Covid changed the in-person landscape, most AIIA courses are limited to the Birmingham Association office or are offered via webinar. .

WEBINAR FAQ - This document will assist you before taking one of our webinars.

AIIA Education Classes are now HYBRID meaning we will be streaming all our "LIVE" classroom courses from our Education Classroom in Birmingham.  We will have limited seating for in-person attendees with the option for webinars for those who do not want to participate in-person.  We must have 5 or more in-person attendance or we will revert to webinar only. P&C Licensing School is still in-person in Birmingham.

2025 CIC & CRM Course Dates & Topics

Institutes held at the Association office will be two-full days of class with testing the following Monday through The National Alliance and CE is file with Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, (formerly The National Alliance).

If you prefer webinars, they will consist of two full days of webinars and with poll questions to verify "Attendance". You will receive "two" links (one per day) for the institutes, along with instructions for testing. Testing will be available the following Monday through Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, (formerly The National Alliance) and CE is filed by RIEA.

Links will come from Michelle McKee with the email domain  of customercare@gotowebinar.com.  If you have any technical issues with the webinar, please reach out to her. Tangerie Underwood will send you an email with the Notebook and instructions for the course. She can also answer any questions regarding education, but may have to defer to The National Alliance as they file your CE.  We use the GoToWebinar platform and it is best used in CHROME.

ANY ALABAMA CIC WHO RECEIVED THEIR CIC DESIGNATION PRIOR TO 1/1/2013 IS EXEMPT FROM CE AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE.  AFTER 1/1/2013, YOU ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM CE AND ETHICS AND CE CREDIT IS REQUIRED AS PART OF THE CE LAW.

2025 E&O / Ethics Course Dates, Topics & Locations

Now E&O seminars are webinars only. 

These courses are split with E&O CE credit in the morning and Ethics credit in the afternoon.

If you register for both sessions you will receive two links; one for each. Otherwise, you will receive one link depending on the course you registered. E&O does not provide Ethics. Poll questions will be launched to verify attendance. We use the GoToWebinar platform and it is best used in CHROME.

E&O Loss Prevention Seminar: E&O Roadmap to Professional & Executive Liability Coverage (This course is approved for Swiss Re & Allianz loss control credit and provides 3 hours of CE Credits.)
Webinar time is 9:00 am-12 noon CDT. (No ethics available with this course.)

Ethics: Navigating Ethical Challenges in Insurance (offers 3 hours of Ethics) Webinar time is 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT.

2025 Property & Casualty Licensing School

Now offering in-person attendance. All in-person courses will be taught at the Association office in Birmingham. If you wish to take the course online, please see our options for online pre-licensing through Troy University

The course is held from 8AM to 5PM daily and provides the textbooks/study material.

2025 CISR Course Dates, Topics & Locations

As of 1.18.2022, all CISR courses are available by WEBINAR. Birmingham CISR classes are still HYBRID, with social-distance seating and webinar options.  

Institutes held at the association office will be a full-day from 8AM to 4PM with designation testing the following Monday through Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, (formerly The National Alliance). CE is filed with The National Alliance.

Continuing Education credits are filed with the state by Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, (formerly The National Alliance).
